They were alive when it was illegal to drink alcohol during the era of Prohibition. World War II broke out in the middle of their lives. The revolution of the radio, television and the Internet occurred during their lives as well as the transformation from the era of the horse-drawn carriage to man walking on the moon. Good luck and the deaths in the family and friends while you are alive. What an amazing life!
They must have imagined “I wonder if I will die in 10 more years” when they were 75 years old! And, they are still alive nearly 40 years later! They were all 80 years old in 1978! I have no idea what it is like to be 116 years old.
I made a new goal in life!
To try to stay alive for over three centuries since being born in the 1990’s.
By the way, the last man who was born in the 19th century until recently was a Japanese man named “Jiroemon Kimura” who passed away on June 12th, 2013. In addition, the oldest person ever recorded was a woman named Jeanne Calment who was born on February 21, 1875 and lived until she was 122 years and 164 days old!
