Here is a photograph of a beach littered with glittering pieces of green and blue glass on the shores of Usuri Bay near the city of Vladivostok in eastern Russia. It looks like a scene of multi-coloured jewels but are in fact debris of broken glass bottles that have been deposited over time and this has become a big topic of discussion with online viewers everywhere!

Although it is a result of pollution, these scenes are really spectacular!

Why are there so many bottles on the beach?

During the ear of the Soviet Union (Soviet Union) between 1922 and 1991, large amounts of glass bottles were discarded into the Pacific Ocean and were later washed up on these beaches!
