Taking a Nap for 45 Minutes Will Increase Your Memory By 5 Times!!!

A research study conducted by Saarland University in Germany revealed that a person’s memory can be increased up to 5 times after taking a 45-minute nap!

The Method Used in the Experiment.

41 people took part in the experiment and were given 90 words and 120 unrelated word combinations (such as milk and taxi) to remember. Half of the test group were asked to take a nap while the rest of the group were asked to see a movie. Later on, a test was conducted on all of the subjects to check their memory retention. Both groups results were then compared.

The results showed that the test group who took the nap performed dramatically better than the group who went to a movie!

The Importance of Sleep.

Memory retention and the importance of sleep was clearly demonstrated in this experiment and the biggest surprize was that the information processing capacity of memory increased almost 5 times than normal if the person took a short nap of just 45 minutes!

Taking a nap during the day would be difficult to do in some countries at school and in the workplace!
