Here is the honor guard of the United States Air Force (USAF) standing at attention during a special ceremony. Please notice just how serious and stern the faces of these elite soldiers are. They are trained to never smile or laugh out loud.
Here is a senior officer with a rubber chicken about to surprize these new recruits as part of their initial training.
Here the officer shows the chicken as a visual distraction. The recruits are trained to ignore such a visual nuisance and maintain their concentration and not show any emotions.
The rubber chicken emits a strange sound around the ear of one of the new recruits and he tries not to smile or laugh. He has having a difficult time dealing with the rubber chicken!
This recruit shows a grin when encountered with the rubber chicken right in front of him.
However, this soldier is not bothered by this distraction and maintains the serious and stern face of an elite USAF soldier.
This strange activity is in fact part of the training for these soldiers as it is designed to help these members to remain focused and calm in any situation when they performing their duties in an actual military action.
They are truly elite soldiers!

The actual training the Air Force is actually quite severe and harsh so this above episode could be misleading to some people.
