Watching a magician perform magic tricks has been a popular pastime for people for centuries and members of an audience watching such a performance become so enthralled that they often express a very strong reaction to these “sleights of hand”.

Here are a series of videos that captured the reactions of monkeys to similar magic tricks being performed in front of them. Will these animals react in the same way as humans? What actually takes place is quite surprising!

I am surprised! How did you do that?

Where did it go? The paper has completely disappeared from the hands of the magician!

“What happened? Where did it go?” Such a powerful expression of emotions by the monkey!

The man performing the magic tricks for the monkey was also quite surprized at the monkey’s strong reaction and laughs with enjoyment at the enthralled monkey’s reaction to the magic trick!

Later, when the man reveals the actual location of the paper in front of the monkey, another strong emotional reaction takes place!

The monkey’s facial expression seems to say “Oh, that’s where it was!” This behavior is so similar to a human, don’t you think?
