Mysterious “Jelly Balls” drifting near the American Coast may be a Carbon Killer of Global Warming!!!

What is the Mysterious Jelly-like Object shown in this photo?
Salpa is the object that washed ashore in large quantities off the coasts of the United States. They are floating sea creatures similar to jellyfish but they have a totally function.

Salpa are Amazing!

Larry Madin, who is the Deputy Director of the research department at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute has explained “Salpa” in this way

According to the description of Mr. Madin, Salpa belong to the group that the same tunicate and jellyfish and have developed the first recognized nervous system. They have a primitive spine or “notochord”. Salpa is able to “lay” cloned individuals which link together to form long chains floating in the ocean. Recent studies indicate that they may feed on carbon which could explain why their numbers have been increasing recently in face of “global warming” in the earth’s oceans.

In short, Salpa is a great cleaner of “waste” in the oceans.

In recent years, in the sea around the world the outbreaks of phytoplankton called algae bloom is a problem, algae’s a feast for Salpa. Salpa procreate a chain of baby salpa to eat actively algae. According to Madin, once the salpa eat the algae, their bodies sink to the depths of oceans where it breaks down into basic elements.

This waste is the trump card of climate change measures. algae salpa eat, grow and capture the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. And, salpa eat the algae that contains the carbon. Therefore, the carbon contained in the waste to be broken down since it will sink to the sea bottom without returning to the atmosphere, effectively, it is removed from the earth’s carbon cycle.

It is surprising that this chain of Salpa is created by just one individual!

They look like alien spaceships, I would like to see how they look alive!
