The world famous overseas bulletin board website called “Reddit” recently posted some dramatic photographs of a Syrian girl who is a victim of the current civil war being fought in her country at this time.

A photojournalist currently on assignment in Syria snapped this poignant photo in which the girl appears to be holding up her hands in a gesture of surrender. She has a confused and frightened expression which is simply haunting.

This photo was also posted on Reddit by the photojournalist of the young Syrian girl’s family who appear to be innocent victims of the conflict that is taking place there.

War should never be condoned and I hope that this civil war will end soon so that the family and other people in Syria can live safe and peaceful lives now and in the future.
