Here are some social experiments which were conducted in the United Kingdom (UK)  on domestic violence (DV) and recorded on video. This video features male and female actors who portray both antagonists and victims of domestic violence in public places where people’s reactions nearby could be observed and recorded.

What the experiment revealed was that was a quite a different reaction recorded by men and women who observed domestic violence in these public places. Since the majority of domestic violence episodes involve women, this difference in perception reveals that social attitudes towards this type of behavior needs to be changed going forward.
