The Venus Fly Trap – A Carnivorous Plant.

Carnivorous plants is a generic name of plants that are in fact “insect eating plants” that have photosynthetic capabilities to synthesize their own nutrients by capturing and devouring insects for food and energy.

The name of this carnivorous plant is called the “Venus Fly Trap” and this plant attracts insects with a fragrant scent and then traps its prey with leaves which closes around the helpless insect! The insect is then slowly dissolved inside the plant creating energy for the plant! The following video featured a time-lapse camera which recorded the activities of the plant for 107 days!
