The passionate efforts of a Japanese ramen shop’s staff on a daily basis was recently reported in the foreign media as reporters marveled at the passion and hard work to create a delicious bowl of ramen for their customers!

Here are some interviews by some foreign media members with the shop owner of the “Noodles Heart Kokushi” Shop. The shop owner’s interview and passionate work in his shop was videotaped and was posted on an overseas bulletin board site (BBS).

The owner’s father had operated a ramen shop for many years and he had been helping out since he was a teenager. Initially, he wasn’t interested and desired to be a salarynan and see and travel the world. After a while, he realized that that this career was not suitable for him so I¥he resigned from my position to work in a ramen shop.

I wanted to experience life as a salaried worker, I did this for awhile but I just wasn’t ready. Why do not you make customers happy by sending them yourself? I thought that I would like to do such work as well.

This video highlights the time, effort, hard work and skill to create delicious ramen and operate a successful ramen shop in Japan. Ramen is fast food to eat easily but the creative process is not easy at all.

After the shop closes, there are many utensils and soup bowls as well as the floor to wash and clean.

The owner’s working hours are 6 days a week, from 8 o’clock in the morning to 11 o’clock at night with almost no time to relax except for a few short breaks. The owner currently works approx. 93 hours per week.
