A Chinese university instructor named Liu who was suffering from liver failure invited his students to share his final moments in the hospital.

The 34-year-old man was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver in April. While liver transplantation was a treatment option, the high medical costs prevented him from seeking this treatment and his physical condition gradually worsened and additional medical complications caused his health to rapidly deteriorate and he was unable to consume any food.

A Last Lecture of 13 Minutes.

Liu, who realized that he was dying, decided that “I want to leave something to the students” as his final request and 20 of his students from Sichuan Normal University visited his hospital bed. His last meeting with them last only 13 minutes but he stressed the importance of “living a daily life of happiness and of peace is important” in his final lecture to the students.  in the fairly ordinary life happy, that always need a peace” of such importance spoke to students.

In addition, some songs were sung by the students as a tearful expression of “gratitude” toward to their teacher.

This a sombre story that conveys the importance of appreciating life since death can happen to anyone at anytime. I think that this teacher tried to share some important insights to his students at the very end of this life.
