High school students from the USA generously donated their money from their graduation trip to help support their teacher who was suffering from cancer and was about to undergo treatment. A total of USD $8,000.00 that were to used for their travel expenses was given to their ailing teacher instead. This kind and unselfish gesture has become a very popular topic covered in the American news media.

One Week before Their School Trip, a Sad and Sudden Announcement.

Students attending high school in Bethlehem New Hampshire were planning on going a school trip to Adirondack Park, New York when their principal teacher suddenly announced that she would be unable to go with them since she had been diagnosed with cancer and had to immediately begin treatment for her condition just one week before their trip was to take place.

The students voted decisively to cancel their trip and donate their transportation funds to help their teacher with the expensive treatment.

It seems that the students decided to have a majority vote on the donation but every student voted unanimously to help their stricken teacher. It was a clear sign of the trust and strong relationship between the students and this teacher, who had spent helping and supporting them in the class on a daily basis.

Rather than experiencing a school trip, these students took the opportunity to help support their teacher in her time of need. It demonstrated some real heartfelt kindness and generosity by these young people showing their appreciation in a thoughtful way. I really respect them.
