Here is an incredibly useful method to cut a rope without the use of scissors or a knife!

Carefully arrange the rope as shown in the image below using the weight of your body to hold the rope underneath your shoes. Then, use one end of the rope and loop it under the fixed portion which will then use the power of friction and torque to cut the rope!
