Here is a photo of “Zeus” the Great Dane who held the distinction of being the tallest dog in the world according to the Guinness Book of Records. The gentle giant recently passed away at the age of 5 years which is quite younger that the life of the average dog which is 15 years.
“Zeus” was a massive animal and his height was measured at almost 112 centimeters tall at his shoulders and more 223 centimeters in length as shown in the photo below.
This huge dog had a ravenous appetite and consumed almost 14kg of food every day though attempts were made to try to maintain “Zeus’s” body weight at 70 kilograms. In addition, Zeus was a popular visitor to local hospitals and patients adored spending time with the big dog whose presence had clear therapeutic benefits.
