Coca-Cola is the most famous carbonated beverage in the world but concerns about the amount of sugar and number of calories are becoming topics of concern regarding one’s health. So, an experiment was conducted to determine the amount of sugar and calories between a bottle of Coca-Cola vs. Coca-Cola Zero.

The Boiled Coke Experiment.

In the video, I tried to boil down each soft drink in a frying pan and determine the amount of sugar in each beverage. This became a popular topic of discussion online.

First,  regular Coca-Cola was put into a frying pan.

After cooking and simmering down the liquid, you could feel the amount of fine sugar at this point.

And Voila! The amount of sugar syrup left in the pan is quite significant!

Next was Coca-Cola Zero!

We cooked and simmered the liquid down in the same way, but…

The sugar syrup rapidly evaporated unlike the regular Coke!

Amazing! There was hardly anything left in the pan!

When I compared the final results, there was so much difference!

Clearly, the experiment showed that regular Coca-Cola has a larger amount of sugar and much higher calories compared to Coca-Cola Zero. Please take a look at the video above to watch the full experiment!
