I think everyone has experienced a situation of impromptu or contagious laughter in public. Some person is laughing for some mysterious reason and it then sets off a phenomenon that triggers other strangers in the vicinity to start laughing along in chain reaction of warmth and humanity. Here is an example of this phenomenon occurring on a crowded subway car that is simply funny to see!
Here is a photo of a woman starting to laugh to herself on a train. Some other people around her in the crowded subway car start to notice her.
Slowly, people start to smile and chuckle along with the woman for no reason at all.
The woman just cannot stop laughing as she sees that she has triggered some contagious laughter among the other subway passengers. A clear example of contagious laughter.
It then spreads to more and more people in the subway that are either smiling at the laughter or have joined in with laughter on their own. What a wonderful phenomenon that can bring people who are strangers together!
Impromptu or contagious laughter is a strange and wonderful event!
