Lighters and matches are the most common methods used to light a fire in the outdoors. However, here is an amazingly simple technique to create flame if you have a need.

Only the (silver lined) wrapping paper of chewing gum and a battery can become a type of lighter to ignite a fire.

▼A Common AA battery

▼ The (silver lined) wrapping paper of chewing gum

▼ Cut and fold the wrapping paper into 3 equal pieces approx. 2mm wide

▼Place the silver paper onto both ends of the battery

It will quickly ignite into flame

Toss the flame onto a crumbled newspaper to maintain the flame.

Be careful not place the silver paper or any batteries together nearby within the reach of small children to prevent an accident taking place.
