Australia has some of the extreme climate conditions of any country in the world so this innovative highway paving technique is amazing to see!

The longest straight road in the world is the Air Highway connecting the cities of Keiguna and Paradonia in western Australia with a distance of 90 miles (146.6 km). This highway features no turns and is completely for the entire drive! Paving this road requires an innovative way of paving which is introduced below.

As a worker stands by, an adhesive emulsion of stone and asphalt is dropped on the area of the highway.
